Newsgroups

General Rule of Thumb

Before you plunge in to any newsgroup, observe the postings of the group you are in. Many do not allow HTML posting nor do they allow file attachments. Most usually have a moderator who will post weekly the FAQS of the newsgroup.

comp.graphics.apps.paint-shop-pro

If the manual (manual? who reads 'em?) hasn't answered your question or if the help files just seem too vague, this newsgroup should be your first stopping place. Long time PSP users frequently answer questions, publish tips, and can help point you in the right direction if you are wanting to achieve a certain effect. Additionally, Jasc staff members regularly monitor this group and also make contributions to the queries.
Basic FAQS of this group: Do not post in HTML and do not post graphics. If you need to post an image to show what problem you are having, you should upload your image as either a JPEG or a GIF to your own website or to the alt-binaries.comp graphics
Triad Road Runner users: You can jump to this newsgroup now by clicking here. Unless you are a triad.rr.com subscriber, this will not work.

Stationery Newbies at AnnexCafe

If you want to learn the basics of creating stationery for Outlook Express and work at your own pace, your first visit should be to the Stationery Newbies group.
Basic FAQS of this group: Be nice, don't be afraid to ask questions, but try to limit your questions to the tutorials that have already been selected for this group. Since this is a beginners group, the moderator requests that if you must post a java scripted stationery, keep it simple. The group goal is learning the basic tools in PSP to create your own stationery, not a group to learn and test scripts.

Downhome Stationery at AnnexCafe

When you are ready to start posting your first stationery creations, visit the Downhome stationery group at AnnexCafe. This is a very busy group but newcomers are always welcome. This is a family oriented group so keep it clean.
Basic FAQS of this group: While this group does allow more advanced scripting, please observe the styles already in use by the group. You won't see a lot of pop-ups, streaming ASF files, or Scrippy created stationeries. If you think you might have a script that this group frowns upon, you can post your creation first to the web design graphics group first.
